Dr Disrespect says, “Twitch ban ruined my reputation!”

Almost a year and a half ago, Dr Disrespect’s Twitch channel was permanently banned. In the meantime, the doc has found his new home at YouTube Gaming. A comeback on Twitch is considered impossible. Nevertheless, his spell is always a topic in the broadcasts of the streamer.

Twitch bans allegedly damaged Dr Disrespect’s reputation

Guy “Dr Disrespect” Beahm recently revealed in a livestream that the Twitch ban is still causing problems today. The doc was blacklisted by various publishers, which means that collaborations with him are excluded. Among other things, Electronic Arts and Activision should be included, which is why there were no partnerships for Battlefield 2042 or Call of Duty: Vanguard on his channel.

For years, Dr Disrespect and his team are said to have built connections to EA and Activision. Apparently this is only the tip of the iceberg. The Twitch ban also caused massive damage to his image behind the scenes, which cost him income and partnerships.

Why has Dr Disrespect been banned from Twitch?

To this day, the background to the Doc’s ban on Twitch is unclear – at least for the public. In August 2021, Guy Beahm announced that he had learned the reasons for the ban. The ban for Dr Disrespect and Twitch is not yet a closed topic. The streamer wants to sue the streaming platform.

No matter how these negotiations end, there will be no return to Twitch for the Doc. For its 3.61 million subscribers, it will only be seen live on YouTube.
