iPhone 13 Pro Max beaten: This China cell phone is the new king of batteries

Apple’s iPhone 13 Pro Max has to admit defeat to a China cell phone.

With the iPhone 13 Pro Max, Apple has created a real endurance runner. The top of the battery ranking had to give Apple’s blockbuster to a China cell phone shortly after the release.

It is well known that battery capacity alone does not say anything about runtime. The coordination of hardware and software and the installation of energy-efficient components are just as important. The iPhone 13 Pro Max meets both criteria, but the Apple smartphone now has to admit defeat in the DxOMark battery test (source: DxOMark).

Oppo Reno 6 5G beats iPhone 13 Pro Max in battery ranking

The new front runner is the Oppo Reno 6 5G, which receives 96 points in the ranking and catapults itself to the top. With 89 points, the iPhone 13 Pro Max does noticeably worse in comparison and is relegated to second place. The bronze medal, also with 89 points, goes to the OnePlus Nord CE 5G.

The testers at DxOMark particularly liked the Oppo Reno 6 5G fast charging time and charging efficiency. The Reno 6 5G charges from 0 to 80 percent in 22 minutes and is full in 35 minutes. According to DxOMark, the total runtime is well over two days. However, there were deductions, among other things, for the below-average performance on calls.

There are many battery myths circulating among smartphone owners. in the Video Let’s clear up some:

iPhone 13 Pro Max offers cutting-edge technology and long battery life

Oppo is right to pat himself on the shoulder. The Reno 6 5G clearly leads the battery ranking with a gap of 7 points compared to the runner-up – at least at first glance. On closer inspection, the picture is put into perspective again, because the iPhone 13 Pro Max is an absolute top smartphone. The Oppo, on the other hand, is a classic mid-range cell phone.

While the iPhone 13 Pro Max combines cutting-edge technology and long battery life, buyers of the Chinese cell phone have to make some compromises in some respects (camera, display, etc.).
