Star Wars: Kennedy stays, wants to bring Rey, Finn and Poe back

Although the Star Wars sequel trilogy did not go down very well with all fans, Lucasfilm and Disney seem to have not quite finished it yet. It is therefore not ruled out that we will see some of the characters from Star Wars episodes 7 to 9 to be seen again in some form.

Where does the current Star Wars information come from?

Recently the Lucasfilm President Kathleen Kennedy, whose contract was extended by three years Interview with Empire Magazine guided. Also came the Star Wars sequel trilogy and also the characters known from it such as Rey, Finn and Poe to language. According to her, we might not have seen these characters for the last time.

“These are definitely not characters that we simply forget. They will live on, and these are conversations that are currently also being held with the creative groups.”

Is Rey, Finn and Poe making a comeback?

In the interview, Kennedy indicated that she would like to expand the stories of these sequel characters. That could be in the form of films, a series for Disney + or an animation project. However, there is one problem with this: how the magazine Slash Film reports, none of the actors is particularly keen to slip into the former roles again.

So have for example Oscar Isaac (Poe Dameron) and John Boyega (Finn) already made it clear that he will not be available for a series on Disney +. Even Daisy Ridley (Rey) is rather hesitant in this regard. It would be possible to tell the stories behind these characters with younger actors. But is that what Lucasfilm has in mind?
