‘2021 Game Data Sharing Madang Operation Project (Platform Name: Game Madang)’ collects and manages idle game development resources (including various graphic resources) developed in Korea through transfer agreements, so that domestic game developers, game-related public educational institutions and It is being provided free of charge to students to improve game development efficiency and to establish a win-win system for a healthy game ecosystem.
In 2021, 2D graphic resources will be secured first, and a platform pilot service is currently underway for domestic game-related departments and game-related public educational institutions.
The main goal of Game Madang is to conserve development costs and establish a virtuous cycle by sharing free game development resources that are outsourced due to a large number of people investing in in-house development in the game industry and high purchasing costs or a lack of in-house development manpower. It is to promote coexistence.
In addition, the transfer of author’s property rights, which is the basis and core of the game data sharing platform operation business, is based on the transfer unit price established in advance according to the copyright transfer contract after receiving the transfer application and selecting and evaluating the graphic resources buried in the project suspension and termination. Follow the procedure to receive paid transfers in units of packages. Meanwhile, in this regard, the Copyright/Resources/Platform subcommittee, composed of experts in various fields such as resources, platforms, and copyrights, gathers to discuss, establish standards, and carry out the necessary procedures at each stage.
Game Madang, where the platform construction and operation plan has been established since 2020, has been operating a pilot service for game-related departments and public educational institutions from February 2021. We plan to expand and open official services.

The 4th Game Madang Open Forum was held to discuss the development direction and support for Game Madang that fits the current issues of resource outsourcing developers.
The purpose of this is to present a vision for improving the utilization and advancement of the Game Madang platform through discussion between presenters and graphic resource development experts composed of representatives of outsourced resource development companies, and to collect platform users’ opinions through real-time Q&A and discussion with users.
The 4th Game Madang Open Forum was hosted by Creation Workshop Shin So-heon, Manakri Lee Won-seok, Visual Dart Lee Jae-yun, Stage 8’s Lee Wan-hee, and Free Life CEO Kim Yun-jeong, and the development/support direction of the game floor in accordance with the current issues and current situation of the resource outsourcing company. was discussed.
The Game Madang Open Forum consisted of three sessions. In the first session, the introduction of the game data sharing yard operation business, the usage status of the game yard, and the official service opening at 3 pm on Monday, November 29 were shared. In the second session, Shin So-heon, CEO of Creation Workshop, gave a presentation on ‘Suggestions for securing the versatility of the game field,’ followed by Lee Won-seok, the CEO of Manakri, who gave a presentation on ‘efficient use of game field resources and improvements to the platform.’
The last session continued the discussion on the role and improvement of the game field for the graphic resource development site, centering on a panel of 5 graphic resource development experts including 2 presenters.
