Elden Ring: Developers panic about Demon’s Souls

If there is no further postponement, the action role-playing game Elden Ring will be launched on February 25, 2022 for PC and consoles. The development studio From Software is currently putting the finishing touches on. When working on the project, the graphics team in particular was under a lot of pressure. At least that’s what the responsible game director Hidetake Miyazaki claims.

Demon’s Souls terrified From Software

As Miyazaki recently revealed in an interview with Edge magazine, this is related to another game. According to him, the Bluepoint Games team did such a good job in terms of the visual splendor of the remake of Demon’s Souls that the graphic designers at From Software felt under pressure.

Accordingly, the team wanted to deliver a game that looks at least as impressive as the remake of Demon’s Souls. It served as an additional motivation to put in a lot of effort. We will see the result from February 25th of this year.

That’s why Miyazaki doesn’t play the remake of Demon’s Souls

In the further course of the interview, Miyazaki made an interesting confession. He haven’t played the remake of Demon’s Souls yet and will probably not do this in the future either. There is a special reason for this:

“That brings up a lot of old memories, a lot of old memories. It’s getting a bit overwhelming. And it doesn’t feel like playing anymore. So I haven’t played the Demon’s remake before. But I’m very happy to see that it got that fresh look, that brand new current-gen graphics. “
